My research focuses on Moroccan carpets and textiles as material culture, exploring their history, production, collecting, conservation, museum representation, and cultural significance. Through the study of public collections, I examine how museums preserve, interpret, and communicate cultural memory while contributing to the transmission of indigenous knowledge and traditional craftsmanship.

As Curator of the Musée National du Tissage et du Tapis – Dar Si Said in Marrakech, I develop scholarly approaches to the conservation, documentation, interpretation, and exhibition of Morocco's national collections. Alongside my curatorial work, I lecture on museum studies, museology, cultural heritage, and collection management at the National School of Architecture of Marrakech (ENAM) and Cadi Ayyad University, including the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences and the Faculty of Arabic Language.

My work extends beyond Morocco through collaborations with museums, universities, and international heritage organizations. I have participated in professional programs, workshops, and conferences organized by UNESCO, ICCROM, and ICOM, and I currently serve as Secretary General Adjunct of ICOM Morocco. I have also contributed to the activities of the ICOM Costume Committee, coordinating academic programs and annual meetings dedicated to the study and preservation of dress and textile collections.

I hold a PhD from Aix-Marseille University, where my doctoral research examined the history, museum presentation, and valorization of Moroccan public carpet collections from the French Protectorate (1912–1956) to the establishment of the National Foundation of Museums in 2011. Through my research, teaching, and curatorial practice, I am committed to advancing the understanding, preservation, and international appreciation of Morocco's rich textile heritage.
