I am a Moroccan museum curator, researcher and lecturer specializing in museum studies, collections, conservation and Moroccan textiles.

My research focuses particularly on Moroccan carpets and textiles as material culture, exploring their historical, social and cultural significance, as well as their place within museum collections.

Through my work as a curator and director within the Fondation Nationale des Musées, I investigate the histories of collections, traditional textile knowledge and museum practices, with particular attention to the ways in which Moroccan museums and collections are documented, preserved, interpreted and presented.

I lecture on museology, cultural heritage and Moroccan textile history at universities and professional institutions in Morocco. My professional activities also connect me with international museum and heritage networks, including ICOM, UNESCO and ICCROM.

I hold a PhD in Monde arabe, musulman et sémitique from Aix-Marseille University. My doctoral research examines the history, presentation, gendered dimensions and museal valorization of public carpet collections in Morocco, from the French Protectorate (1912–1956) to the establishment of the Fondation Nationale des Musées in 2011.
